This Christmas we’re supporting local charities across the communities we cover.
This Christmas we asked our cleaning operatives to nominate charities in their communities that they’d like us to support on their behalf. Our teams work across Milton Keynes, Watford, Luton and Hemel Hempstead. This is really important to us as a company as we know how hard local charities work to help others. And we wanted to show them our support. We donated to four charities this Christmas, and have decided to do this instead of sending out Christmas cards and gifts.
Charities we’re supporting this Christmas
Staff responded in numbers to our Christmas charity appeal and have asked us to support these charities: New Hope in Watford, a charity working to prevent homelessness by providing accommodation and opportunities. They also chose Baby Basics in Milton Keynes, which helps families in need of support with gift packages when they have a new baby. Baby Basics rely on these donations to help others. We helped them out with their Amazon wish list.
Staff also asked for The Borehamwood Food Bank to be supported as one of our staff members volunteers there. We were so happy to be able to provide a little bit of help to buy supplies they might need for their food packages. Finally staff asked for The Winter Night Shelter in Milton Keynes to be donated to. The Winter Night Shelter provides overnight accommodation for homeless people across MK. They do this between November and March. However, they also offer advice and support to help their service users into long term accommodation and work.
We’re really grateful to our cleaning operatives for sharing these charities with us. And are really pleased to be able to help them at Christmas time. A time which can be very difficult for people in our communities.
